There are some differences between Chinese medicine plasters and ordinary plasters, which are mainly reflected in the following aspects:

Ingredients: TCM plasters are usually formulated with traditional Chinese herbs and their ingredients are mostly natural herbal extracts with certain pharmacological effects. While ordinary plasters may use chemically synthesized substances or other non-herbal ingredients.

Therapeutic Principle: Chinese herbal medicines are mostly based on Chinese medicine theories, through the warming effect of herbs, activating blood circulation and removing blood stasis, etc. to regulate the body and promote recovery. Ordinary plasters may mainly play a certain protective and soothing role, the therapeutic effect on the disease is relatively weak.

Scope of use: Chinese medicine plasters are generally used as an adjunct to traditional Chinese medicine treatment for some chronic diseases, joint pain, muscle strains and other diseases. While ordinary plasters may be used more for general skin injuries, burns, bruises and other more superficial conditions.
